coach Luis Aragones has died aged 75 in Madrid.
The former footballer, who played for Real Betis and Atletico
Madrid, took over as the country’s coach in 2004 and led Spain to their first European trophy in 2008
for the time in 44 years.
During
his managerial career, that began in the 1970s, Aragones was in charge of top
La Liga teams Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Mallorca and
Espanyol.
