Bamanga Tukur Resigns As PDP Party Chair

News reaching me is that the Chairman of of the People's Democratic Party, Africa's largest political party, has resigned.

He resigned earlier today after a meeting with the President who insisted that he needed to go in order for the party to begin the process of healing and reconciliation. It is on record that Bamanaga Tukur's continued stay as party Chairman has been the source of prolonged problems within the party.

Several party chieftains had in the past agitated for his resignation but the man remained adamant ascribing those agitations to ego-tripping and rabble rousing.

Today, the dreams of the Bamanga Tukur haters have come true. We will sit back and watch as events unfold at the Wadata House, headquarters of the party.

Bamanga Tukur was born in 1935 in Adamawa State. He schooled in Ahmadu Bello University and University of Pittsburgh for his Masters Degree. His business interests includes shipping, haulage etc. He is also the Executive President of African Business Roundtable.
