Police Arrest Corps Member Accused of Stealing Motorcycle

                                            Adebisi and the stolen motorcycle
I am still trying to figure out whatever on earth would make a Corps member resort to stealing. Now, this may just be a case of wrong accusation. Who knows? Meanwhile, one Corps member 'bites the dust'

Punch reports:
The owner of the motorcycle, one Mr. Oladeji Oyewole, was said to have gone inside a football viewing centre. He was said to have come out to discover that his motorcycle was nowhere to be found.
He was said to have gone to a nearby police station where he reported the case.
Luck, however, ran out of the alleged thief as the owner, who was on his way to visit his wife that had just been delivered of a baby in a hospital, saw his motorcycle where it was parked.
The corps member was said to have made an attempt to escape with the bike but was caught after Oyewole  raised the alarm.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Folasade Odoro, confirmed the incident in a statement.
She stated that some of the colleagues of the suspect identified him as a corps member.
The statement read in part, “Police detectives attached to Dada Estate today January 30, 2014, at 9am, while on surveillance for the motorcycle with the owner who was about to depart from the police to see his wife who was delivered of a baby in the hospital, sighted the motorcycle park at Fan milk, Dada Estate area.
“Adebisi, 26, who claimed to be a youth corps member  attached to St. John Middle School, Iree and graduated  from Kwara State Polytechnic, suddenly jumped on the motorcycle  and as he was about to start  it, he was apprehended.
“He confessed to the crime. He said ‘I stole the motorcycle because I want to be riding it to my  place of work.  This is my first time of stealing.’
“The suspect  was identified by his colleagues and will be arraigned in court at the conclusion of investigation.”
