Gang Leader Jolan Giwa Set To Be Deported

                                                

In the picture is Jolan Giwa. The name sounds Nigerian to me but authorities in the UK are struggling to ascertain the young man's country of origin. Is he Nigerian or Sierra Leonean? He was the 'Capone' of an 80-member strong gang


He was quoted as saying:

'I'm not a gangster - I'm a gangsta rapper': Thug walks free after government failure to deport him because he's a 'musician' not a criminal 

Jolan Giwa, 24, who was the 'general' of an 80-strong gang in Croydon, south London, said they were not criminals but enjoyed rapping and playing football together. The thug is still in Britain because immigration officials have been unable to determine his nationality and both Nigeria and Sierra Leone have refused to take him. After being released from prison, he has been moved to a bail hostel in Newport, South Wales.
