Sunday night, picking up prizes for album of the year and record of the year
for single Get Lucky and its EP, Random Access Memories.

also appeared in their trademark helmets to pick up the ceremony’s second
televised award of the night, for best pop duo. “I’m sure they’d like to thank
their families,” the band’s Get Lucky collaborator Pharrell Williams said,
accepting the award.
Rap group Macklemore & Ryan Lewis also cleaned up at the
2014 Grammy Awards in the early going, scoring four wins before the awards show
had even hit its halfway point (to be fair, three of them were won in a
pre-telecast ceremony).
The pair,
who released their album, The Heist, independently, won
for best rap song, best rap album and best rap performance, as well as best new
artist.
